MODELS AND COMMISSIONS......

The majority of models available from ‘Unique Wagons’ are those which have either been refurbished or given a complete ‘makeover’ and represent the 1920’s to 1940’s era, mainly from the G.W.R, S.R., L.B. & S.C.R., L. & S.W.R. and S.E. & C.R. Companies.

All of the models available have been created ‘by hand’ and are not manufactured or available from model shops. They are also unique, as each model’s ‘running number’ (as with the prototype) is not duplicated or repeated.

All models are prepared and painted by hand, using Phoenix ‘Precision’ paints, applied with top quality brushes, as the colours are prototypically accurate.

All of the transfers used are purchased by the Historical Model Railway Society, from their ‘Pressfix’ range, and all models are given a final coat of matt varnish to ensure that the transfers are ‘sealed’, making them more robust when handled.

All of the models have modern narrow Hornby or Bachmann couplings fitted; these being the most common in use on model railway layouts today.

None of the models are ‘weathered’, as there are so many differing opinions about this topic. Like any ‘work of art’, as the old saying goes.... ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’....!
