‘CREWING’ STEAM LOCOMOTIVES ......
Some modellers prefer to not populate their coaches or provide a crew on the footplate, but I do not share that view and have, over the last few years, set about creating ‘atmosphere’ by populating some coaches and ‘crewing’ the locomotives. However, finding the correctly proportioned figures in a variety of realistic poses, proved to be quite a challenge, until I discovered Master Piece Figures at a model railway show in Southern England, which is where this manufacturer is based.
Master Piece Figures are cast in lead free pewter, well detailed and available to fit a variety of locomotives. Images of some of these crews are included to illustrate some of the many and varied figures that are available.
